Why choose it

The LDM 50 suits repeated room measurements: its backlit three-line display, area and volume calculations, and recall of the last 20 readings reduce jotting numbers down. It runs on two AAA batteries.1 The manual specifies absolute accuracy of ±1.5 mm below 10 m; its separate longer-distance repeatability figure is not the same accuracy promise. The 80 g weight excludes batteries.2
